Rebox (Rehabilitation box) is a new addition to a variety of our needle-free, non-invasive methods of healing.
Rebox is an electrotherapeutic device belonging to the group known in physical medicine as TENSE units. These units are widely used for a variety of musculoskeletal diseases in medical offices throughout the U.S.
Rebox is widely used in Europe with over 20,000 people a day receiving Rebox therapy. Rebox treatment is gaining popularity in Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong.
Professionals who use Rebox therapy include general practitioners, neurologists, orthopedics, acupuncturists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, and rehabilitation and sports-medicine providers.
Nelly Tsivina received her training in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic 2004. She completed a full time course "Rebox Physio-principles of Diagnostic and Therapeutic applications" conducted by the inventor of Rebox device Dr. Petr Slovak
Since then Nelly Tsivina has used Rebox with great success.
The uniqueness of Rebox, in comparison to other TENSE devices, is that it provides an alkalization of the tissue where the micro current is applied through the probe placed on the surface of the skin.
Why is it important to alkalize the tissue?
When cells are damaged through trauma, injury, burns, or inflammation, they accumulate acid waste products. Examples include; tendonitis, tennis or golf elbow, scar tissue and surgical scars. Build up of acidity is also seen in the lower extremities of marathon runners.
Use of Rebox therapy neutralizes the acid build up within minutes after application; treatment should to be repeated for stable results.
It restores the microcirculation in living tissue, reduces inflammation, improves blood and lymph circulation, decreases pain, and provides tissue relaxation. This speeds up recovery time.
Typical applications of Rebox therapy: *
My personal experience with Rebox confirms results reported by practitioners around the world. I have success with acute as well as chronic conditions.
I have found in my work as an acupuncture therapist that the use of Rebox on acupuncture points of an affected area significantly accelerates healing with results often exceeding those documented by other practitioners.*
* Report of P. Slovak and J. Lojda 1993, Prague, Czech Republic. In this 100 cases study of various musculoskeletal conditions, 75 % of the patients reported positive effects with remission of pain.
Procedure:
The small, pencil-probe is placed over the treated area lightly touching the skin.
The other probe is held by the hand of the person receiving treatment.
The practitioner monitors the treatment reading the meter.
Treatment is comfortable for the patient and very often we see instant changes.
Treatment should be repeated for stable results.
Rebox therapy is more effective in acute cases, than in chronic cases.
One application of Rebox probe produces healing effect within a radius of about ½ an inch.
Specific examples of Rebox applications.
PLASTIC & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY
The Rebox Therapeutic Unit has been used after cosmetic surgery on nose, eyelids, forehead, face and neck.
It is also used as well after surgeries following facial traumas.
Rebox treatment improves lymphatic drainage and restore micro-circulation.
All patients have confirmed a remarkable decrease of discomfort, soreness, and swelling after treatments with Rebox. Even a single treatment makes a noticeable difference in the comfort level.
* This is an observation of Dr. Wolfenberg of plastic and reconstructive surgery office in Zurich/Switzerland. After Dr.C.Wolfenberg was using a Rebox for a year in 1989.
SPORTS MEDICINE
In Europe Rebox is widely used in Sports Medicine. It is used to treat bruises sprains, tendon injuries, injuries to ligaments and muscles, including acute trauma. The treatment decreases soreness, pain and swelling.
Athletes are treated before the competitions to assure the best performance, and after the competition to speed up the return to the normal state.
BURN SCARS
Rebox therapy has also been effective in treating swollen, painful burn scars, especially in the cases with delayed healing.*
Rebox treatments can help reduce pain and accelerate healing for patients, often even when other methods have not been effective. It works on the level of microcirculation in the tissue.
* Burn clinic of Prague repeatedly used the procedure on many patients as we see in their reports of 1982, and 1993.
In my experience with treating burns of the eyelids and on the palm of the hand, dramatic improvement was reported by recipients even after a single application of Rebox.
HISTORY
Rebox was developed at the Czech Technical University by Dr. Petr Slovak and is manufactured by Rebox Ltd of Prague.
The Rebox method has been patented in the U.S. and worldwide and fits safety specifications required.
The treatment method of the Rebox device is based on Transcutaneious*
Correction of Local Acidosis (TCLA). This therapy method is being clinically used since 1985.
*(transcutaneious - means applied on the surface of the skin, and going through it.)
