Introduction to Acupuncture

What is Acupuncture and how does it work?

Acupuncture is an essential part of Oriental Medicine and has been used for over 3,000 years. Oriental Medicine views illness and pain as an imbalance of one's energy. With acupuncture the energetic balance can be restored, thus helping body to rid itself of disease. Often illnesses can be diagnosed and treated at their early stage. Acupuncture can effectively treat acute and chronic, physical and emotional problems it can be used for preventive care. It is a proven drug-free treatment with no side effects.

Safety and Comfort

For your total protection and comfort, we use only the highest quality disposable, presterilized needles. Acupuncture needles used are solid, hair-thin and at least 20 times thinner than hypodermic needles. Needles are shallowly placed in certain points on arms and legs. These points are lie along energy pathways called meridians. Meridians are connecting all organs and parts of the body. This gives us an opportunity to affect even the deepest organs through the points on extremities. Acupuncture treatments are safe and are usually accompanied by the general feeling of relaxation and calmness
